I am still seeing just the waterhole.... I am so sad. I am watching this like a hawk until I see something.
hehe....yes, we did finally get our work done! Actually, we decided to do a special project with the animals we see on the site, too. We made a sheet to log information. We are going to track what animals we see, how many we see, what time it is in the US and in Africa. Then we are going to do research on the animals and do a report on what we find about each one! How fun!!
You saw a bear? I'm jealous! We only saw the ground in their place with snow on it. Last night we checked it and there were just a bunch of snow flurries! I just now checked it, and sure enough, it's just the ground!
Leslie, that sounds like a great project! I bet that will be really fun! Hey, you could have them do a survey. Have them tell people they're watching a camera near a waterhole in Africa, and have the people tell your kids which animal the person thinks your kids will see the most of in the next week or whatever time. Then they can graph the results and let the people know what it was! Now that I mention it, maybe I'll have my dd do that while we wait for her new science to get here!
That's a great idea, Deena. We'll have to do that! I am ready to see some more animals! Just a couple more hours or so and the sun will be coming up!
Leslie, after all the research, your kids could have a great notebook of info.! Then you'll know a lot about Africa, and you can go with me when I go to Kenya and help at the orphanage this time! Okay?! Oh, another brainstorm--Maybe you could have the kids do a lapbook of this!!! I've REALLY been wanting to try this but I can't figure out how to get started and just do it! But this seems like it'd make a great project for a lapbook!
I would LOVE to go to Kenya with you! I am going to get started right away on all this research! A lapbook would be fun. I am still not sure about it, though. I am not very creative with scrapbooking and things like that.
Bear on mountain, right now! Laying around appears to be munching on a branch or licking his paws....take a look.
8:30 eastern time. My daughter just saw a big cat on the left side of the pond. It really looked like a lion! Beth
It is! We saw it walk across in front of the pond about 8:40 eastern time and it has been roaring ever so often. Beth
