A while back, I think around June, we were discussing about getting together in central Ohio sometime. Ohio G'Ma and I were discussing this yesterday/today while I was at her place canning. This is what we decided: 1) Possibly towarad the end of September/first of October 2) Possibly meet at one of the Metro Parks in the Columbus area. We could schedule a program with a naturalist, and they are FREE. 3) We thought FREE would be better than the zoo or COSI, which would be an expense, especially after the expense of transportation, etc. 4) Doing it on a school day (though we didn't discuss a particular day). NONE OF THIS IS IN STONE!!! Any ideas? Suggestions? Who would possibly be interested? Let us know what you want, and we'll try to come up with something!
I have always wanted to go to Seattle! lol. I would be interested but can't promise anything. Dh is going on some business trips in September and we have a weekend (weekday...weekend) with my parents...so September is filling up quick. Once you get it figured out though I would be very interested. That is if my car holds up! lol...maybe I can get a rental that sould be cheap on a weekday. lol
I might be interested, maybe my sister and I can drive down with the kids, my van holds 7 and there are 7 of us LOL. Keep us updated!
Jackie, would it be better if we go up Ava Rose's way? That way she wouldn't have to worry about transportation. Who else had planned on going? Maybe Lynne - we could drive together. Anyone else interested??? I have had so much fun meeting the people from here. It is so worth it.
Oh G'ma...that would be wonderful...but don't go out of your way for little ole me. I worked on my car today (lol...I giggle thinking that I actually worked on my car but I did...lol) and I know it won't make any long trips. My dh is actually going out of town in September. I will check the dates. I know it is during the week. Maybe we can plan it then. If he ends up flying out of town I would have the other car and could travel a bit more. I will see if I can get him to pinpoint the dates. One trip is like Sept 13th or something....that is pretty close though. Not even sure if he has to fly yet...I will let ya know. Geesh...how do I loose 30 pounds by then? LOL
Ava, don't worry about losing 30 pounds, we love you just the way you are - I'm not planning on losing the 30 pounds that I need to.
I wanted to meet up with you all, but now that my kids are back in ps I don't know how I would do that. But I know you will all have a great time!!

Brenda, you are only about a 1,000 miles away, that wouldn't take too long, you could drive all day and night :shock: of course you would have to sleep when you got here and couldn't visit. We would love to have anyone that could make it.
Ohh thats much closer for us too, its only a 5hr drive, if that to toledo from Saginaw/midland area..My dad used to live down there off Alexis Ave, and he lived near temperance, which is still michigan.
Hey we could do a Michigan/Ohio meeting! lol. Yep I am not far from Alexis Ave. We could always go apple picking at Erie Orchards...that is in Michigan. I am sure you dad is familiar with Erie Orchards. There is also another Orchard in the Toledo area but Erie is much nicer.
Leslie, could you take them out for a day? (I don't believe I'm suggesting that!!!) I don't mind going up to Toledo, if Ava doesn't mind planning for it. Who else might be in? Toledo might even be closer for you, Leslie, than Columbus is, depending on where exactly you live. It's three hours from me.
Toledo Ohio is about 5 hours from us. ( or thats what map quest says) I wish we could come but I don't think our van could make it that far. I also work and don't know if I could get the time off. I think it would be a great time. I will have to really do some thinking on this one and see what I can do.
Leslie...if everyone does decide to come up this way then you can come and visit your sister in Perrysburg! I will look around this area and see if I can come up with something fun. Then I will let everyone know. If then everyone decides to go another direction that is fine or if they decide to come this way that is also fine. We can just get a bunch of ideas rolling.
