We're doing Pizza tonight. My neice and I are making a birthday cake for my Dad ("Papaw" to the kids). It's his 68th birthday and my parents' 48th anniversary today. We went out to Cracker Barrell for lunch (one of Mom and Dad's favorite restaurants).
My kids call my dad Papaw too! I am making fried porkchops (come on over Becky) augratin potatoes lima beans and corn (small bowl of instant pototoes for Duck) corn bread
We're having leftover burritos tonight if my husband will stop on his way home to pick up more tortillas. It was supposed to be burrito pie, but we were too hungry to wait the extra 20 minute for them to bake. :lol:
Dh had chips and chicken fingers. Gianna had mac & cheese and applesauce. Elijah had 2 pot pies and mac & cheese. I had mac & cheese and 2 egg roll. I guess I'm a short order cook. I wish my family would eat better, but dh won't and they won't either.
doesn't sound to bad to me OhioGrandma. I made a homemade stew a little of this and little of that and homemade rolls.
I made orzo and tossed in some chicken and peas. I did the chicken in olive oil and white wine and some garlic. I cooked the orzo in chicken broth and did just enough so that I wouldn't have to drain it. It always seems to come out creamier that way. Also added some basil and juice from a lemon. 25 minutes from start to finish and it is quite tasty. Now, if dh would get home so that we can eat......
We had spaghetti for supper, very unusual for Thursday night. We usually have that for Sunday dinner. We have a gift certificate for Golden Corral (my dh's fav.) so I'm hoping he will want to use it Sunday.
On Friday's it's take out for us. Either: Domino's pizza, Chinese or ... :love: that chicken from Popeyes!
I think taking out pizza is so pricey, we called the other day to Domino's and for a large pizza and med one it was 26 dollars thats alot in my book...
We had chicken patties, mac & cheese, potato chips. BUT for lunch I was over at Lynne's house and she made a great lunch and we had mint chocolate chip brownies, mmmm. She sent some home and I'm going to have vanilla ice cream on mine for snack. Thanks Lynne, had a great time, too.
We had Little Caesar's pizza last night. It's only $5 for a large one topping pizza and only $8 for their "deluxe." They're not as good as Pizza Hut, but the price is excellent. I'm not sure yet what we're going to have tonight.
