Heres the pasty recipe: Crust - 6 1/4 C flour 1 1/2 C lard 1 tsp salt 2 C COLD water Inside- 7 1/2 lbs potatoes 3 3/4 lbs beef 2 or 3 lbs onions 3 Tbs salt 1/8 tsp lawrys seasoning salt pepper (amount necessary) Roll crust out on flour surface. Put inside mixture on one end and fold crust over and seal the edges. Brush egg on top with water mix. (Sometimes I do the egg mixture but not always) Bake at 400. Usually mine take about 40 minutes but it depends how big you are making them. I got this recipe from my 88 year old grandma but their are alot of variations out there. Here's a website with a few. I also like to mix pork with the beef and put rutabaga diced in it to. http://www.wideopenwest.com/~awesley5155/pastie.html
