I have pork roast in the crock pot ......... DH kept saying it was going on the grill, but he never got around to it...... I made my own bbq sauce and I'll shred it for sandwiches..... with cole slaw.

I've no idea what we're having tonight! Carl had to go to the church right after school, because they're installing computer/sound system into the new building. I'm not sure what time to expect him home, and I wasn't home when he called to ask. Plus, my kids have AWANAS. So if he makes it home quickly, probably Pulled Beef Sandwiches, if not I'll just make Cambell's soup for the kids!

    NO IDEA NOW!!!!

HAd it all planned, then hubby decided to go out tonight, instead of coming home (no biggie, WEds are his "guy" night usually).

So...I don't have to cook! YEEEHAWWWWW!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love to cook....but nights when I don't have to do the mundane dinner thing make me happy!

    Fend night!

Which means my younger 2 have mac & cheese. My oldest has french toast (she makes it herself) and I have whatever I want! :D

HEE HEE HEEE!!!! Off to check out the fridge!

HEE HEE HEEE!!!! Guess what we ended up having? Kraft Mac & Cheese! (Which Carl hates, btw!) So of course he decides to come home just as I was taking it off. I wasn't expecting him. He'll have some left-over chicken or veggie soup.

My boys are begging for mac & cheese so I guess that is what they are having. Mom and Dad will either eat that or clean out the leftovers in the fridge.

We had open-faced sandwiches tonight. A slice of homemade wheat bread, a slice of turkey ham, a sunny side up egg, and a little bit of shredded cheddar. I broiled them for a few minutes to melt the cheese & make them nice & hot.

Two of my nieces are coming over to help get ready for the Halloween party. So, we'll probably have homemade pizza. It's the one thing that I know everyone will eat.

I did make this and served it over mashed potatoes (my family is weird) and we all absolutely LOVED it. A new family standby... they're still asking for it again and it's only been three nights! Thank you for a family favorite in Montana!

I hear you, totally. Look for anasazi beans (red/white pintos) and if you see the sales I do, a pound of pork sausage. Simmer all and serve it with any sort of cheap bread you can find. I can feed my meat and potatoes for pennies on the dollar. If you're in Ohio can you find potatoes from the farmer? That's where we get ours, you can get 100#/$12... scout around. I'm all about cheap healthy food.

Donatos Pizza tonight! We don't "do" Halloween, so the plan is to see WALL-E at the cheap movies, and then do Donatos!

Today is grocery shopping day, which means something quick & easy. So, we'll probably do either pizza rolls or chicken fingers & fries.

I didn't think about going straight to the farmer. Will check into that. Thanks.

I bought English Roasts for $1.99 per pound in Amish area a couple months ago. I bought 3 of them. We are having one of those tonight with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. Can't wait, this is a treat:)

Ohio Mom, I'm so use to calling you G'ma, I'm not sure WHAT to call you now!!!

Do you have a big roaster oven? I've bought four roasts when they're "Buy One Get One Free", and put them all in my roaster oven at once. We eat one that night, and then I will slice into a freezer bag, and make some into Pulled Beef also in a freezer bag. Then it's easy to just take them out and warm them up for dinner sometime.
