$2.34 Gas in Houston? Is it falling where you are?

We are at $2.25....but I have hope that it will get down to where you gals are and even lower!

 

All i can say is that I don't want to leave my area for a while! Mom and Dad went up to Wisconsin last week. They went there, stayed a week at my uncles cabin (which meant they didn't drive around or buy gas), and then saw how much cheaper it was when they left. They were impressed with the prices (in the 2.30's) so they filled up. Then when they got home, the were amazed at how cheap it was here!

 

$2.43 here.

 

wow, Jackie what part of Wisconsin we are headed that way in Oct.

 

2.17 the cheapest we have seen around here most places 2.27 or so.

OK, WHO RATTED US OUT???

Yesterday I said it was $2.04. Today I was going up to the fair again, and I was suppose to drive the OTHER car and fill it up. So we went by this one corner, and the one station had it at $2.01, while it was $2.24 across the street. We didn't notice until we had passed. But the cheapest station was up the road a good ways. I figured I'd get it there. GUESS WHAT!!! It was $2.24!!! And there was nothing cheaper for the rest of the trip. Coming home this afternoon, EVERYWHERE was $2.24 :x !!!

*I* think you all were jelous of our cheap prices and complained :? !

 

Jackie, Are you talkin' to me? Honest I didn't rat. I didn't! But I wouldn't mind if they took that 20 cents they added to yours, and take it off of ours, then at least we'd be a teeny bit closer to your prices!

I think they're playing games with you--up, down, up, down........could be doin' that for awhile. grrrr!

 

Oh, Jackie it was me ratting, I am on my way up there was going to taking a detour and pick up Deena and then we were going to get cheap gas so we wouldn't rat on you. We love you and your cheap gas.

We hit $1.99 today in the Houston area!



But it is about 25 miles away from me, so... oh well....

We hit 1.99 too Jen here in South Texas sorry Jackie we beat you.

 

It was 2.17 here yesterday. I'm hoping it went down more since I need to gas up to make the 45 min. drive to my girls dance classes today. I sure hope we are below $2 soon!

 

<sigh> $2.62 is still the lowest I've seen around here!

Jen, what is that site for lowest gas prices? I was checking it off and on awhile ago, but I can't find it now.

 

I use www.gasbuddy.com.

Unfortunately our town is small and never ahs any prices listed. I usually look up the 2 closest large cities though.

OK!!! We came back down to $2.18. I liked the $1.99 better!

I asked Carl how the Bush-bashers were going to explain the gas prices going down, sine it was "all his fault" they were high in the first place. Then two days ago I saw a political cartoon that claimed the only reason they've gone down was mid-term elections :roll: .

 

yea my dh works in the field and he says the same thing Jackie that is the main and only reason they lowered it. When election are over watch out.
