That's right. We have these set up on our store securitiy systems. We can log onto the internet and watch our stores live at any time. We don't have sound set up but it is real time video with motion sensors. It actually comes in pretty handy for us to monitor the stores at any time. And we can do it from anywhere.
The vultures were to the right, way out in the field. THe vultures were far enough away so that I didn't see them until they zoomed way in. So I don't think that would've been caught by a motion detector, though it could very well have one. In fact, as the vultures would take off, the camera would follow them, then, even though they were still in range, the camera would go back to something else that was happening back where the meat was. Oh, that's another thing, since it was so far away, even when they zoomed in we couldn't see what they were eating, unless one of them would grab and rip a piece off, then hurry away with it, with a couple others chasing him! We saw that happen a couple of times! Anyway, it seems to me that someone is there manning the camera and seeing what's happening so they zoom to those areas.
I'm thinking it might be some of both - the camera has a computer that can find motion and zoom on it when it is running on autopilot; but also someone has it on remote control and some of the time is moving it around. We were watching some antelopes last night and there was definitely a person zooming it. A computer wouldn't have been able to anticipate where they were going to pop out of the trees like they did. Also, the person was selecting groups out of the bunch of antelopes to zoom in on (specifically the momma and baby and then the two young males who were playing), and a computer wouldn't have done that.
OH, THERE'S SOMETHING THERE NOW!!!! And there's a baby!!! TWO babies!!! They look like a type of buffalo.
yes, go there they have some animals there right now. Alot of babies so cute the girls are loving it.
Phillip thought he saw an elephant, too! He's excited that you confirmed it. (He told Faythe, "So, HAH!!!") There's also a herd of zebras. I think Phillip could sit and watch this all day. And thank you for identifying the wildebeests for us!
All of those Animal Planet shows I watched while nursing Joy in the middle of the night are finally paying off!
I think they are zebras right now.. but they are way far away, so the camera can't zoom them in any closer.
Wow! It has been really busy the last few minutes. We have seen zebras, wildebeast, a big deer thing and one elephant! Beth
RATS! We missed the elephant! But we saw the zebras. All the kids and I were watching them. Then two of them started running around, then they were mating! My dd9 said, "That's very interesting, we saw zebras mating!"
I wonder what is in that hole at the bottom of the tree... they focus on it every once in a while, but I've never seen anything there.
Wow we seen the Zebras in the water with the elephant in the back ground my dd's are so excited about this. This is so neat. Anyone seen a bear in the cave yet.
We have seen the Wildebeasts, a group of Gazelle's and a few Zebaras. The kids are getting a pretty good kick out of it. I have been letting it go on the computer all day and they keep coming back to see if something is there. This is pretty cool!!!
We didn't see the zebras in the water....but we saw them chasing each other! and we did see 2 elephants!!!! We are glued to this computer! Not a whole lot of schooling getting done! LOL Or IS this schooling?????
We are sitting here counting animals! We saw two elephants too. And did anyone else see the houses in the background? This is great! Beth
