Very nice pictures!!! We got our tree up and put together (it's fake), and all the Christmas stuff hauled in from the attic. Then it was too late to do anymore. So, tonight we will try to finish it up. If so, I'll try to post the picture by tomorrow! (dh has to help me, I always forget how.)
Well we got our tree done last night. Now I just have to charge the batteries to the camera and then get them up here. Everyones looks so nice.
We Did It!!! Here's Our tree---the kids decorated it. They went through our Christmas decorations and put up what they chose, plus all their own ornaments from each year. It almost looks messy in this picture, but it looks cute here. The kids like it, so that's what counts! I can have my "perfect" tree when they're gone! Then I'll sure miss this kind of tree!!!
No, Deena, you'll never get a "perfect" tree! After the kids are gone, you'll probably invite the g'kids for a tree-trimming party. My MIL always does two trees...her "good" one in the living room which she alone decorates (though Rachael is now allowed to help with that one!), and a live one in the family room that the kids do. Presents go under the "good" tree. This year, some changes are being made. She finished her basement, and my SIL suggested that might be a better place to open presents, since there's more room. Of course, MIL isn't willing to MOVE one of her trees down there, so she's going to get a THIRD one!!! (Yes, that's THREE TREES!!! My MIL is a lady with too much time on her hands, lol!)

Deena~ This is wonderful! I was wondering how to do the beads we have this year, and thought about doing it the way your kids did it, so sweet looking. Our tree is still in process... we generally play hit and miss with it for the first box of ornaments. I will have to take pics of the kids tiny trees too. I think tonight they will get a bunch more on, and I shoudl get my shelves decorated too. I have a tree to put with my dolls..... I am so enjoying this thread! It is keeping me going when I get worn out remmembering that I am NOT one of those wonderful women who can do it all! I am grateful to God that I am not doing this job every day of my week and that I am only temporary! I am really a work at home kind of mom, and my writing has suffered as my pocket book has grown Lol. The kids had some fun though, dd is really enjoying being with the older kids and playing in PE, so I may keep her going to PE each week even when we don't work. It is worth it to have her come in with a smile on her face telling me how rotten she is at Volley ball... ( she is never rotten at anything btw one of those people who can graspe the conscept fast?) I think they do bowling next, and that will be one we can go to and John and I can bowl on the side while the older kids go and do thier group thing. It will be special for us all! Sigh, I love Christmas time! I think I will start a thread... PST Deena we have the same carpet!

Anyone see the silver looking cross with a white tag near it on my tree? In 2002 we were going to MOPS, and they had this craft for the kids (with lots of supervision of course!). Those are real nails, two for upright and two for across. They are wired together, and the tag has John 3:16 on it on one side, and my dd's name and the year on the other. I thought that was such a thought provoking and neat ornament! Anyone else have a favorite ornament? I'm going to start a favorite ornament thread...
