Ahhhhh.....the 80's....such good times. I still have the scars on my fingertips to prove it. Blind in one eye from an Aquanet incident too (LOL....JUST KIDDING).

    Girls clothes

I have the same experience! I have two girls 11, and 2 and I have a hard time finding decent clothes for them. the thing I really hate are girls pants. They are always boot
cut which means tight at the top and loose and flared at the ankles...even for my two year old!!! My only remedy has been to get their jeans from the boys section.

Did you ever get the lovely burn on your forehead from the curling iron!?!? I did a few times and HOPED my huge bangs hid them! rofl! :)
We did the fan thing...you'd separate your bangs into two parts. The bottom part was curled under toward you face and the top part was curled back towards the top of your head. Then you'd spray. Then get your trusty pick and tease, tease, tease, tease some more...then tease just to be sure. Then you'd spray and spray and spray! :)
You could either do a one sided thing like a sea shell or do the uni one where it fanned like a rainbow all the way across. I favored the 1/2 one, lol
One of my boy cousins thought it was remarkable that he could "pick up" my bangs..he could hold one little piece at the side and actually lift it sideways in one large piece! crazy! :)
    good times...good times!

She wears that at work, unfortunately!

Could you imagine falling on hard times due to a divorce/custody which required you to file for food stamps or what not and the person who helps you with your troubles is dressed like that? This woman wears white pancake make up, like Halloween make up, nearly black lips and her hair done in an up doooo with those provactive clothes on. To me she always looks like she is going night clubbing or dressing up for Halloween or just playing dress up!

Aquanet smells terrible and it is like spraying liquid cement in your hair. My dh who was my boyfriend at the time TRIED to run his fingers through my hair and they got CAUGHT and it jerked my head. Really romantic, ummmmm dear, my fingers are stuck in your hair! Embarrassing moment! LOL LOL

Oh man, those were the days! You could walk out into a wind storm and your hair would be left untouched thanks to liquid concrete in a can, Aquanet!

You didn't dare try to comb that stuff out, it would damage your hair, it had to be washed out!

Curling iron burn, oh yes, on the forehead and neck.

Bear with me, I want to experiment....

A mechanic is a person who uses tools to repair things (generally machinery) or works to keep things operating properly.

Many mechanics are specialized in a particular field such as auto mechanics, bicycle mechanics, boiler mechanics, industrial maintenance mechanics (millwrights), air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics, aircraft mechanics, Diesel Mechanics and Tank Mechanics in the armed services. Auto mechanic for example has many trades within.

What she is talking about is when you blog, post, or search for something the key words you use trigger specific adds to show up on your screen (somewhere in the margins--in this case at the top right above the posts and at the bottom just before the reply box) that directly relate somehow to what you are doing on-line. In this case one of the things we are talking about is hair so of course hair product ads are showing up. The advertiser is betting that sense you are looking at or talking about hair that if you see their ad you will be more influenced to click on the link and be so enthralled with their product you will rush right out and purchase it.

I also assume (although I shouldn't) that Jen's experiment was to mention machanics and appliances over and over to see if the ads would change......they did not. However, I do agree it would be intersting to see what adds we would get if we all just typed in random words.
