Reasons to Homeschool

    no one loves my kids and will stick with them through learning struggles like I will

    if we are hung up in phonics, we can still speed ahead in math

    School is done by noon! No homework!!

    I know what they are eating for lunch...I don't have to worry about packing a lunch, and I don't have to worry about weird cafeteria options!

    Our bathroom is a safe place! Who knows what happens in school bathrooms...THAT freaks me out.

    I was the one who got to hear my son read his first book!!!! :D

    God is using homeschooling to make me into the person He wants me to be. Sometimes it's hard, but it's part of the refining process.

    It gives my kids a chance to be best friends! :D (And that's part of the refining process for them!)

    My son LOVES to learn. That's one of goals..not trying to stuff him like a Thanksgiving turkey full of facts, but to really instill a love for learning. Homeschooling provides this opportunity.

    In my experience (I was a teacher in my past life), public school sucks the love for learning right out of 'em.

    As a stay-at-home-mom, my brain my melt into nothingness if I didn't homeschool.

    DS5 is learning to teach, too. He often reteaches DS3 the elements that he's heard me teach.

    "Sorry, that's right in the middle of school time" is a great way to skirt people who think that just because you stay home, you have all the time in the world for them.
