Watching my dd health majorly improve when her "night owl" self was no longer forced to be up at 6 but could sleep till 9 and still "make it to school".
Laughing at neighbors who think we are in a cult. Okay that isn't really a reason but after a while it becomes quite humerous.
To give them high expectations and the confidence that they can do anything they set their minds to - teaching them that they don't have to settle for the 'norm' in life.
My main reason is that I know my children will go out into the world with all the knowledge needed to be successful at whatever they choose to do.
Knowing that when our children are grown (if the Lord doesn't return before then) and it's just my dh and I, we won't sit on our front porch saying, "where did the time go?" We will know exactly where the time went and will have no regrets.
That's what I tell people: When my kids are out of the house, I won't have to say, "I wish I'd spent more time with my children!" Cuz I've spent about as much time with them as is possible----and I LOVE it!
