OK, this is what I'm going to do! This week, everyone who wants to join is to weigh themselves, post their current weight, how much they would like to lose, and any other goals they have...exercise goals, eating healthy goals, etc.

Next Monday, weigh in and post that weight (and no one will get after you if it's the same, or even if it's gone up a bit!!!). Then include how well you've done on the other stuff.

My current weight is 165; I'd like to lose 30 pounds.

I also would like to drink at least four small glasses of water a day, eat breakfast at least three times a week and have a salad at least three times a week. (Currentlly, I drink water sporadically, never eat breakfast, and often skip lunch!) I would also like to exercise (either half-hour walk to my CD, or 15 minutes of Leslie Sansone's walking video) at least three days a week.

Yep!! COUNT ME IN!!! I weigh 150 and am setting a short term goal of loosing 20 lbs.. I want to loose 30 but right now 20 seems more reachable so I'm shooting for that.. I need to loose my baby belly from my last baby NINE YEARS AGO!!! I'm cutting out sugar drinks and drinking more water.. Haven't done so well with this goal, but I'm trying.. I have cut my portion size down to half of what I had been eating.. I plan to exercise at least 3x a week HOPEFULLY 5x. I'm using Richard Simmons Sweating To the Oldies and Leslie Sansone's walking video I just bought TODAY :) Hoping for some muscle toning later but for now any movement is better that the "none" I have been doing for the past 5 years..

Count me in! I've gained over 15 pounds since we moved 2.5 years ago.

I currently weigh 143 and would like to lose 18 pounds.

I absolutely know how to do this - eat less, exercise more. It's just a matter of putting that plan into action.

    My goals are:
    1. Eat 1200-1500 calories a day
    2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes, at least 5 times a week.

Okay, I'll join, but I'm not posting my weight!

My goal was to lose 59 pounds, and I'm already down 8, so my current weight loss goal is 51 pounds.

Current weight: I have NO idea-I haven't weighed in 2 years! LOL But I was thinking of buying a scale with tax money....we'll see... (I'd estimate my weight at around 230-240)

Goal weight: 175 so about 60ish lbs

    Goals this week:
    1. Drink more water, less coffee
    2. Get outside and move daily (inside workout video for bad weather)
    3. Cut back on amount of fattening ranch dressing (my weakness) on my daily salads.

Is anyone here a checklist/paper & pen person? Would anyone like me to make some printables for this? I'm going to make myself one and I can easily then make it more generic for sharing....

Okay.. I'm just getting up and moving.. Made pancakes for breakfast.. i KNOW that's BAD, but I haven't bought groceries yet. and that's what we had. I have drank 1 bottle of water so far today and did the walking video which I LOVED!!!!! I always feel SO good after I've worked out.. Energized and happy.. I LOVE this feeling!! Now, I need help knowing what to eat!! I REFUSE to buy processed snack foods for this house.. Fruits and veggies and yogert have always been here along with CHIPS.. BLAH! I HATE chips.. But thanks to a great sale yesterday at Target, I have 6 bags of 24 snack size chips.. 6x24 :/ My kids like them, but I should be training them to make choices in their food as well.. I wasn't thinking when i bought them.. Just saw that they were $2 and grabbed em.. (((sigh)))

I'm not posting my weight either! My scale fluctuates 7-8 lbs even if you step off and back on, so I'm not certain anyway. :) My goal is 35-ish pounds. My goal is really to look and feel healthier no matter what the actual weight is.

Eating healthier is something I've been working on with all of my kids! Chips...I buy ONE (family-sized) bag when I do my bi-monthly shopping. The kids are allowed to eat them only at lunch and when they are gone, that's it. It makes them more of a treat than a staple.

I'm also focusing on more water. We've all been doing better about drinking water. I rarely buy sodas anyway, but we were drinking a lot of sweet tea.

I didn't get to walk last night, because I had to drop off/pick up from multiple kids activities. This week is going to be hard, because my two swimming girls have a four-day state meet. Thurs-Sun will be out-of-town and eating out. Plus, it's HOURS and HOURS of sitting and waiting between races. I'm going to focus on healthy foods as much as possible while we are there.

I really need to lose weight! I've been fed up with my health for a while, just not fed up enough to work really hard to change anything. Maybe accountability outside of my husband will help?

I would not like to share my current weight but honestly, my pretending anything other than truth is just silly. I fluctuate between 230-235. I really do not know what my ideal weight is. I don't know what is good for my body anymore. Doing a search online gives a range from 125-166. Um...that's not helpful.

For this reason, I don't want to have an end goal. My current goal is to lose weight in 10 pound increments (because that is achievable but not overwhelming) until I reach what is healthy for me. Whatever that ends up being.

    Goals to start:
    1. Drink more water.
    2. Stop drinking soda. Or at least only drink soda out. I'd love to cut it out completely, though.
    3. Do some sort of exercise at least every week day.
    4. Get enough sleep.

Josie, I was thinking on the way from co-op today that a daily checklist might work good for me. So please do!!!

Crystal, how about if you set a goal to get down to 200 lbs., and once you get there, you can adjust it downward? That's what my husband is doing. He weighs just about the same as you, and he says he'll celebrate once he gets to 200.

As far as not posting your weight...NO! CAN'T JOIN UNLESS YOU DO!!! Just kidding! If you don't want to post it, that's fine. You can just say how many up or down you are each week. The idea is just to get us all working toward where we feel we need to be, so however that works best for you.

I'll take your advice, Jackie. I know I'd like to be quite a bit below 200. I suppose I could set a first goal there. I will feel like throwing a party the first time I see a one in the hundreds place.

Okay. So 235 current, shooting for 199 and then I'll set a new goal. :)

Oh, I guarantee we'll be partying if (WHEN!) he gets below 200! But it will be a party WITHOUT pop or potato chips, lol!

    I'm TOTALLY in!!

Current Weight: .....265. -_- Yea, it's alot. My goal is to lose 100 pounds. I've already lost 5lbs (in a week and a half) from changing what I eat, and the portions I eat. Right now I am consuming 1300 to 1600 calories a day and eating alot of fruit and veggies. I also love bacon so I've switched to turkey bacon which is now my favorite!

I am planning on setting goals at 20LB increments. However, I will definately rejoice when I get into the 250's. I haven't seen them since Marion was born 2 years ago. :/

Josie, that is AWESOME!!! I had just seen the first page, and was gushing enough that my dh wanted to know what it was all about. So when I went to download it, I found it had more pages! You really did a terrific job. I'm not talented in that area at all!

Thanks. Yeah, I'm using the first page, but I thought others might want something different and I couldn't sleep well last night for sneezing and a leaky nose so I just kept making more pages LOL
