I know I'm 34 weeks, and haven't posted on the Weightloss Forum in quite awhile, but.....

I have been using Trim Healthy Mama since April, and have only gained 10lbs with this pregnancy (compared to 40lbs with each of the 3 boys). I feel fabulous, and I have so much energy!! I have also been doing fit2b.us off and on for the duration of the pregnancy. It's definitely worth looking into. As well as not gaining a ton of weight, I have also evened out my blood pressure to 120/70, and my blood sugar is fabulous, much to the dismay of my OB because he's running out of reasons to deny me my VBAC! lol

Josie! COngrats on the loss! I applaud you for using the MyFIttnessPal, I couldn't stick with something like that. I get all excited and into it for awhile, but then I totally lose it and then fall so far behind. :/

Sloan, I have NEVER been able to hula hoop! Not very hula hoop savvy! Does the hula hoop thing really work and tone??

I love MFP. I have been using it everyday since the end of Feb. I am down 56 pounds now. I am at 160 and love being in a size 10 jeans. I never thought I would say that I could wear a size 10 anything! The exercise hoop is so much fun! I never could hula hoop either, but now love using the weighted ones. Freddy even made me a 6 pound one the other day. It is really cool trying to keep that one going and not letting it drop on my foot! The 2 pound one is my favorite. I don't know how it works but it seems to make my stomach muscles tighter. I have loose skin from losing so much weight and I doubt we can ever afford plastic surgery to fix that, so anything that tightens that area up is worth the effort to me. And it is fun for me and for my daughters.

I never thought I would say this, but I am loving walking now. We do three miles or more every day and that is huge for us. (Us is two of my daughters and myself.) We walk at the park track and really have gotten faster. All three of us are sticking to it and making plans on what to do when it get cold and yucky out. I am now in a size 10 jeans and really am having a hard time wrapping my mind around that. I am at 159 now and go back to the doctor on Friday. I hope she is pleased. I have worked hard! I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for the candy corn, turkey and pumpkin pies and Christmas goodies that are coming soon. Halloween doesn't bother me, but I plan to eat what I want on Thankgiving and Christmas day and make up for it with lots of execise before and after.

Saturday will be my 59th birthday. I will be celebrating it as a 157 pound, size 10 jeans, happy and blessed woman and I am so amazed and proud of that! I started trying to lose weight when I was about to turn 30 and FINALLY I think I got it right! Thank you all for being supportive and for sharing your journey to better health with me. It really helps. I have permission now to tell you that my "friend" who is having weight loss surgery is one of my twin daughters. She has a surgery date in Dec. and I plan on being with her at the hospital the whole time. She will probably have to stay two nights. She is so excited and is doing everything they tell her to do to get ready. She weighs almost exactly what I weighted when I had my surgery six years ago. I messed up after about a year and took forever to get to where I wanted to be, so I am really trying to be there and help her get it right from the very start. She is a wonderful person and I am so thankful she has this chance. I know everyone does not agree with weight loss surgery but it changed my life and I am praying it will turn Katie's around so that she can be healthy and live a much better life. She already has high blood pressure and feels so bad most of the time. She works in an office with just a few other people and they are all being super nice to her and helping her in any way they can. I will let you know how she does and please keep her in your prayers.
I hope everyone is doing well and feeling healthy!

GOOD FOR YOU!!! I'm just sorry the rest of us don't have a success story to share, too! But you have done a great job, and you should be very proud of yourself! And you are setting a fine example for your daughter!

My daughter goes for her gastric bypass in about two weeks. she is very excited and I am excited for her! I went with her today for one of her appointments and it was so strange how much has changed since my surgery six years ago. I am staying at 158 pounds now and am happy with that. I feel great and can't wait for my daughter to feel better too. I need to get busy walking again. I have slacked off a lot since it got cold here. I have a treadmill but I have just been lazy. Why is it so much easier when it is warmer?

So, I haven't been on this thread for a bit. I'm still in the mindset of at least getting healthy. Hopefully, loosing a few pounds will be a plus in that too. I just ordered the Trim Healthy Mama book to help with changing my eating habits and can't WAIT for it to get her so I can go through it. :) How's everyone else doing?? Anything new going on with your journey?

We really should keep this going. Maintaining after losing is hard without support too. The last few days have been stressful for me and I keep snacking! I need to watch it!

I keep forgetting that I am watching what I eat. This is so sad. It illustrates that these are really bad habits.

The last month or so have been hard. I can't wait to get outside in the sunshine if Spring ever decides to come and stay. I have started back walking some but it is still cold and yucky most days. My daughter had weight loss surgery in Dec. and is down a total of nearly 80 pounds. She is feeling great and walks with me while my 15 year old runs. It helps to have a support group.

Time to confess! I am up 14 pounds since Oct.4th. Big sigh! I am feeling pretty stupid for letting this happen to me! I went to the doctor today and tomorrow I start (again) on getting those pounds off. I once weighed 274.6 pounds and am down 100 pounds, but today I feel so out of shape and overweight! I know a lot of it is mental but I will be 60 in October and I want to be back in my size 10 jeans before my birthday. I think that is a reasonable goal. So if anyone else wants to jump back in maybe we can support each other!
