    Good job on working out!

The skirt thread was why I was trying on shorts, but I didn't have time to try any skirts. My husband usually comments about me wearing shorts, but I'm not sure if it was for modesty reasons or because my legs look terrible! I've never asked, because I really didn't want to know.... So last year I wore shorts around home, and put jeans on when I went most places, but I was soooo miserable in the hottest months.

Since I last posted, I have eaten at Del Taco once. I also ate at Mc Ds once. Del Taco was a cheap husband and wife date, and Mc Ds was a necessity!

    I know, EXCUSES!!!! :p

I took Em to DMV to get her CA ID and when I arrived, I realized the DMV relocated. So when I finally found the place, the appointment line was out the door. Thankfully, I had an appointment because the non-appointment line was up the street. Once we finally made it to the door, I found out we needed to read and fill out a form containing at least four pages. I called when I made the appointment and the man told me all I needed was a birth certificate, ss #, my ID, and Form 44 would be provided when I arrived, and it would be quick to fill out. We had to get out of line because there was a lot to read and file out. We rushed through the form when Em messed up. So we had to start a new form. Not good!
Finally, when we got to the bottom of the form, it required both legal guardian signatures. Em looked like she wanted to cry. I was upset and snappy, and I grabbed the form and said, "Let's go!"
I stomped to the car like a two year old!
Once we were in the car, I apologized for my attitude. As we headed home, I told Em that I needed fries, and a coke, and a Big Mac.

Anyways! I am doing alright. I am finding that the weight isn't coming off as fast as it did the last time. On a positive note, my 12s fit better than they did two weeks ago. My tens are still really tight. I still haven't weighed myself and don't plan to. I will not until I am comfortably in my 8s again. I have a size 6 skirt I was wearing before I gained the weight, but I was more than comfortable with myself in size 8. So this is my goal.

I have been walking about 3 miles a day, and doing simple exercises before I shower.

Patty, I would have been irritated, too! Why couldn't they just tell you on the phone you needed BOTH signatures? You probably could have downloaded the forms. Someitmes you just GOTTA have some "comfort food"!

I personally don't see any need to feel guilty about one big mac meal :)

I was going to set an alarm on my phone to remind me to weigh in the morning but I started my period today so I think I'll hold off on weighing! LOL I was so extremely tired last week and so bloated the last couple of days...I couldn't take see the scale go back up right now! haha

Nope, me either. In fact, I make sure to have some sort of junk or treat every day so I don't feel deprived.

Just weighed in today. Down 1 more, making my new goal 44.

I just came here to officially put it in writing that I WILL start on Monday. I have been following this thread, but avoiding it at the same time:lol:. I have 10 pounds (15 ideally, but 10 would be good) to lose. I did it before, so I know what I need to do. I just keep saying "next week".

I have to laugh every time I hear people talk about having to lose the baby weight. I was actually back down to my lowest for the almost 2 years right after having ds. Once I stopped nursing, the weight crept back. I was 127 for years before getting pregnant, went up to 152 during pregnancy, dropped down to 110 and then it crept back until I was up to 127, then up up up and I seem to have capped at 140. I really want to get back to 130 (ideally 127, my magic number). I guess more than the # on the scale is just to lose my gut so I do not look like I did at 6 months pregnant:shock:.

I am so excited. I got on the scale and I am down 15 pounds since the beginning of Lent when I cut out all dairy and meat. I feel better than I have in years, and have so much more energy.

I have not forced my family to join me in this change because it was my choice. However, last night I made a tofu quiche with fakin' bacon, broccoli and almond cheese which they gobbled up and asked me to make a second one! Tonight is leftovers night, and two of my kids were actually arguing over who would get the last of the fakin' bacon to make a BLT. I'm glad my family is supporting me, I think it has made this so much easier on me.

<Sigh> This just isn't going as well as I wanted!! I really WANT to lose weight. I want to be at a place where I feel comfortable in clothes. I feel like I am being careful about what I eat, but I am having a hard time with the exercise. My walking buddies weren't at my girls' practices this week, so exercise was non-existent. I HAVE to get better at exercise!!

I LOVE the Leslie Dvd's.. I have about 10 of them.. I bought some hand weights the other day and plan on using those for some of her videos.. IF I can find my motivation to get up and DO IT! If I don't get going right after hubby leaves in the morning for work, then I just don't do it.. The day gets going and that's the end of "me" time and I have to switch gears to the kids and the house.. That being said, i only exercised on Monday.. I did a three mile walk workout.. Sure felt good.. Wish i could keep myself motivated to exercise every single day..

I am loving my treadmill and am using it most days plus walking at the park on days when it is warm enough. I am still drinking the water and loving the Greek yogurt the doctor told me to eat. So far so good. I need to lose 24.6 more pounds to be back where I was a few years ago. I have never been really thin, but I was happy in a size
    14. I am not as tall as I used to be but I am still 5'7" so I would be very happy in a 14 again.

I have to admit I am only on my second day, but have found that creating a menu on the weekend is helping me. I listed breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks (am and pm). It helped yesterday when we were out and about and came home hungry knowing exactly what I was going to eat. Instead of listing what I ate after I ate it, I am telling myself if it is not on the list, I don't eat it. So far so good. I also made my pm snack a glass of what we call "orange elixir", orange fiber. It was enough to keep me full until I went to bed and we actually like the taste of it.

    Ok - I'll chime in ;)

I am now 151.2.... 5ft tall... but I am DOWN almost 50lbs since July

Now I am working out 6 days per week (just got 3 Jillian Michaels DVD's & I have hand weights as well - PLUS I do Tae Kwon Do with the teens Tuesday & Thursday nights)...

I'm tracking every calorie using mynetdiary and doing pretty well with it :) I started with WW - but was finding I would eat 4 ice cream sandwiches and nothing else (they were only 4 points each!!)..so with that type of diet I felt like garbage.

I'm down from a size 18/20 to a size 6/8 and I would like to be 120-130 with muscles. Actually main goal is to be able to wear a bikini without embarrassing my kids ;)

Down 50 lbs. is AWESOME!!! Good for you!!! But I can't understand weighing 151, and being a size 6/8. Am I reading something wrong? I'm about 160, and a size 14. I'd be happy to get to 135, and a size 12 (though size 10 would be FANTASTIC!)

My body fat % is down dramatically because of the weight lifting and cardio. Plus the calories I am eating now are mostly veggies (I will eat 1lb of broccoli for lunch with a fat free cheese on it)

I'm wearing a size 10 jeans today (new - Old Navy) and they are too big (and they are supposed to be skinny jeans!).... I had an old pair of size 6 jeans (Levis) and they fit great.

I can actually start to see abs (I have a mini-padded 4 pack right now).... working out 6 days per week (2x on Tuesday & Thursday) is huge.

I follow a plan called "The Fighter Diet" for the most part which is a body building - lean down a lot plan.... it's not easy to follow but worth it I think. I've changed it up some because I need more calories so I added more in and I need to tailor it more for myself.

I eat constantly though - LOL... DH turns around and looks at me all the time asking if I am eating AGAIN??? ;)

Ah. So you've lots of muscle, which actually weighs more than fat. I get it! So you weigh more, but are slimmer. Sounds very nice!

Not down or up this week. I started last week walking/jogging with a friend. We are doing a 5k 3 times a week and we strength train twice a week. I haven't noticed any difference yet but I am hoping to see some pounds disappear. I have slacked on my water intake so I need to boost that back up, but other than that I have been eating pretty decently. I did eat too many sweets at my daughters birthday party at my in-laws though.

I do not have much to share. All is well as far as exercise. I have a brick red blouse that I love, but it became very snug. As of yesterday, it fits the way it did when I bought it. That is a good thing. I still have not weighted myself. Butt exercises are really working. I have hit that area hard because I am wearing a skirt for our easter musical that tends to have movement. I do not want my rear adding to it. lol

I survived a birthday party and all the meals and desserts of Holy Week lunches so far. Today may be the hardest one but at least it is the last meal at church this week! I have not gained so that is good even if I didn't lose. I have to get my mind going again on only drinking one Diet Coke a day. I love that stuff!
