Thank you TeacherMom, My WW class is at our church. It started about 3 months ago and I like the leader much better than the one at my old meeting. This one lost 92 pounds which really impresses and inspires me.

    I love WW....

I haven't done it in many years, and sort of using my old materials.

My mom loves it too. She just joined the online program and she loves it all over again (I intro'd her to the program 4 years ago and she lost over 50 lbs. go mom!). She's been doing WW since then - on her own! She's so self sufficient, I need accountability!!!

[ I have lost 10 so far. I am considerably overweight. I have a lot to lose, but I am setting small goals for myself so I can celebrate each one.

Tinkelmom: Congratulations! That's the way to go, with the small goals. Over the past 10 months I've been doing the same...setting 5 or 10 pound loss goals, and have lost a total of 40 pounds that way. If I had started with 40 pounds as a goal, I think I would have been overwhelmed and just thrown in the towel.

I also agree with making a total lifestyle change. I have found that working on diet and exercise at the same time is better than diet alone. Also, if possible, try to get at least one family member to work on this with you. I'm lucky that my husband is also dieting and exercising, and that my daughter likes to go on my long walks with me. (With the added benefit of some one-on-one time!!) Best of luck to everyone this year!

I think lifestyle change is the key. I wish I could just have someone write out an exercise plan and a basic meal guide...that would help me tremendously.....of course, I am sure that would be helpful to most people! LOL But seriously, I am one of those people that follows a set plan better than trying to come up with it on my own! That why I like the idea of boxed cirriculum...it is all layed out for me! :)

I'm the same way Leslie! I keep wishing someone would start me out on the healthy eating plan, then I could get the idea and go with it I think, but doing it on my own is hard! :)

We can help each other here, though, that's a big help!

Way to go everyone, keep up the good work! I hope to join you in the wight loss, and the lifestyle change!

hey , I have some great exersises for trimming yoru buns... and thighs, its nto that thighmaster or whatever its called..
but I do ( when I have two good working arms) First stretches, 8 reps to start for one week, then ten , and go up from there to 12 and keep it at twelve! , Stretch like a runner does.
Ham string stretches I think they were called..
Then lay on left side with left arm bent under your head, right let lifts , same reps as above, first with bent kneee, then straight as you get better at it.
Repeat this on right side, left leg.
3rd lay on back and do straight up hands behind back above tail bone. ( supports your back and helps your leverage both!)
    same reps with this...
one leg then the other alternating, then bent knee to chest laying on back still... same reps, sounds small at first but it takes a lot!

    Then I do 'firehydrants" variations...
all fours side lift with bent knee straight out to sides, 8,10, 12 , but increast this one by twos or threes each week, untill youget to 30 total!
Fifty is fun but it tends to cramp your joints.
    alternate legs as before.
Then same possition but bring your knee to chest then kick up back wards towards the celing.
This one is a bit harder and you will be a bit worn by thsi time so make sure you have good music on!
I follow suit with the 8,10,12, 15 on this one stop at 20 max. per leg.
Then I stand up, sip water light amount cause you will be sweatting now!
and walk it off, shake arms and work on arm circles five forward five back, dif sized circles from small to big to small... your walking can be reg walk in place around the house or steps , just to cool down and all that with out a totall drop.
This worked for me before I started playing and injuring myself haha, and I lost from 16 to a 10 in 6 months, then I had another kid so Lol,

TMom--I need pictures! I'm so visual oriented! So could you do all those and have someone take pictures then set it all up in order with the directions? THEN I might get it! Not really TMom, as if you could do them right now with your bad shoulder anyway! :)

Well, today I have done well! Healthy breakfast, salad for lunch, and 30 minute workout on the treadmill. I used the higher grades to get more of a workout. I'm sure my buns will feel it more tomorrow! Now I need to make sure I eat a healthy supper, and I'll have one whole GOOD day under my belt, and MANY to go! :D

Thanks TMom! :D I made it to Curves this morning! It's funny to be out exercising and having conversations with people who are dressed and in their right mind at 5:20 am!

However, I had a craving and fell for it: I had macaroni for breakfast! I haven't had it for a long time and it sounded good! So now, I may take a walk (either outside or on the treadmill) to make up the difference. :) And I need to eat healthfully the rest of the day!

    How are you all doing?

Yuck, then there'd be no taste!!! I like the creamy taste and the buttery taste. We use soy milk and Smart Balance Light margarine, so it's not as bad as it could be! :)

I use "I can't believe it's not butter" spray on just about everything! I love that stuff!

I am doing ok...Still keeping up with my exercises, but need to do more on either my treadmill or bike. And the eating...well, I am definitely adding more veggies to my diet...I just need to cut out some other things to really make it count! I am drinking ALOT of water these days....that is a HUGE change for me. So, I am slowly making the changes I need...I need to step it up, though.

I have made it that way before only because I realized I didn't have what I needed to make it...so I just added a little extra water so it wouldn't be so pasty and salt/pepper. It was ok...I would eat it again that way.

Goody for everyone! I'm impressed with all the good reports & want to add mine: Down 3 this week. (And to think I nearly logged of before checking this thread! Time is "premium" these days, & I can't read all of them that I'd like to.) Anyway, down 3, in spite of Aball's Buckeye Pie & the banana bread!:)

Did you ever stop to figure that if we lost only one pound a week, we'd lose 52 lbs a year??? I've read that 1-2 lbs a wk is usually a healthful rate at which to lose, but I like to see it drop a little faster.
