I'm proud of you all. I need to start doing something. Not gain anything but not tring to loss it either. Need to loss about 20lbs. My girlfriend called and said she works out at 1:30 every day at the park district gym. Only a one time fee of $5. My job is a little wacky this week, I get my regular schedule next week and then I think I'm going to start. This is a friend of 21 years and it would also give us time together. Another reason to do it.

I had another good day today. I haven't cheated once since I went back to Weight Watchers two Saturdays ago. I am feeling better already too. Less aches and pains. No headaches, which probably means my blood pressure is down a little bit which is great. I love WW because I can eat anything as long as I plan for it and count my points. I weigh every morning here and so far I have been down every single day. I guess that tells you I have lots to lose. I have made before pictures and when I feel good about it and make the next stage of pictures, I will see if Katie will help me figure out how to post them if anyone is interested in my progress. But that will be several more pounds from now. I feel comfortable telling you guys I have lost a little over 25 pounds which makes me 1/4 of the way to my goal. Yeah I need to lose 100 pounds. Sad but true. I just need to stay focused. Good luck to you all. Beth

I had migraines for years and everytime my blood pressure would be very high. They always said oh it is because of your headache. Then a couple of years ago they figured out that my headaches were the result of the high bp not the cause. I have very few bad headaches now. I used to have to go get shots for them. Then I would be sort of hung over the next day. I went through that for several years. I would average one about every four months back then. Oh course losing the extra pounds might get me off the blood pressure medicine someday. I hope so.

Beth, when I lost 30 pounds, my blood pressure also dropped. It is still up but not where it used to be. I would get the most horrible headaches too. My mom has had two strokes and after her last one, it really scared me. I am still working on the weight but have also cut back on the salt. I loved salt. The first week of the weight lose, I lost 5lbs and I am positive it was all water from all the salt I was eating.
    That is scary.

Hi all. I was glad to read the good reports. I have been busy with my dh on vacation this week and my kids' birthdays this week. However, in the middle of that I have not gained an ounce. Thank goodness! I have stuck to my eating plan for the past week. I think I lost one pound. lol. I say, I think, because I weigh myself like a million times a day and ya know how that .5 pound is there one minute and gone the next. lol. I am starting to work out again later this week or next week. My dh is really throwing things off. lol. Before I gained 25 pounds I LOVED working out. So, I am looking forward to getting back into it....into working out and my jeans. I can't wait to be me again. I have so many nice clothes in my closet that I just can't wear! UGH.

Just an FYI: They say during weight loss, you shouldn't weigh yourself more than once a week. And at that, it should be the same time of the day and wearing the same thing. There are many changes during the day that can make you think you gained or lost weight. It can be deceiving! Also, if you're working out along with eating well, then muscle weighs more than fat and can deceive you into thinking you're gaining weight, when it's just muscle!

Yes...I heard that if you do workout that you should judge your wightloss progress by how your clothes fit and not the number on the scale. (I heard that from Bob, the trainer on Biggest Loser). It makes sense to me!!

Thanks, Deena! I have already had my workout today. :) and I am planning my meals for today so I will be ready when the "oh I want something to eat, but I am not hungry" time of the day hits me! Did you get that? LOL

BTW, did I tell you that they thingk my back will be even better when I lose a little weight, so that's even a bigger incentive for me!

I had an appointment with my endocrinologist on Monday and my thyroid levels are fine. Yayy! She said I should diet "gently"... I'm not sure exactly what that means! I have another appointment in 6 months.

So... as soon as all of the cupcakes are gone (today is Charles' birthday, so Joy and I are going to make cupcakes - some for us, and some for Tadpoles, which is the daddy/3-5 year olds program that they go to at church on Wednesday nights) Charles and I will go back on our diet. Last year (before the thyroid crash) we were doing Weight Watchers' program and it worked very well for both of us. Maybe I should just add a few points to my allowance so I don't loose the weight quite so fast... I didn't think it was going "too fast", but apparently my thyroid did, and that was no fun at all.

Charles built a dance pad for a version of Dance Dance Revolution that you can download for free, and it is SO much fun! We haven't been doing it for a while, and we need to get back to it. It is great exercise!

In the meantime, we have our monthly missions prayer meeting here on Friday and the house is a disaster, so I need to get off of here and starting cleaning up.

Like Deena said, it is easier to exercise with a friend! AND...that might really be something to help with the stress you are dealing with right now. That would be great!

I finally took the time to read this thread and I want to say KUDOS to you all!!!! Woohooooo!!!!

And let me tell you....I am GREAT at planning on losing weight! IN fact, I do it daily ;) I can plan, plan, plan....and make some great ones too, but somehow a thing called LIFE gets in the way! *LOL*

I'm also "planning" on being more self-disciplined this year in many areas, not just health, so I need to get my fanny offa here, and into the shower so I can get my dd8 back to the dentist on time this a.m.

    But I'll be back!

('cause I agree w/ Kris from another post- being on the computer is almost always more fun and easy  ) I may not feel that way next week when grad school starts back up!! I think that's why I'm "messing around" with fun, non-essential online things now!

    Can't......stop......typing........wanna.......keeep...sharing!!

    Gotta go!!! aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh:p

I'm doing some better, but I keep falling for things. Yesterday I got a mocha when my kids had donuts (it was a reward for something they all had done well in). I got decaf and non fat milk and no whipcream, so it wasn't as bad as it could've been, but I'm sure there were still plenty of calories! And I'm still having a hard time drinking enough water!

I did fine on exercise this week, but today the snow and ice made it impossible for me to go to Curves for my third time this week! :(

So far the best diet I have ever been on is being pregnant with twins ;) I have lost 5 pounds and I am eating every 3 hours, including getting up 1-2 times at night for a peanutbutter sandwich or a small bowl of cereal. I have read that you need an additional 4-500 calories per baby in your diet when you breastfeed, so I am hoping to continue the 'diet' after the babies come ;)

YAY! Good job! That is so encouraging for me. I did great all day yesterday then we went to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Well, my INTENTION was to just get a salad and baked potato....I did, but I also had rolls and butter and the catus blossom thing they have!! I was stuffed when I left!! I was so disappointed in myself. I am determined to do better. I just need to stay home to eat...the temptaion is too great right now!

I haven't had a chance to read everything in this thread. I'm wanting to lose 25 lbs by July. I've got some baby weight to lose! I'm making healthier choices, exercising more and not keeping sweets in the house! :D I've been working on it for about 3 1/2 weeks. I'm afraid to weigh myself again but my jeans do feel a tad bit looser! :D
