This is a busy week for us. My girls have their dance recital on Sat. and we have 3 extra practices this week. The dance school is 45 min. away, so supper will be quick and easy this week. Tonight's probably going to be $5 pizzas from Little Caesar's.
We had pizza last night...still trying to figure out what I want to make for tonight. I'm stumped. I hate when that happens.
My dh and boys are swimming at the pool, so I'm not sure when they'll return for supper...any time. I think I may make something quick 'n eazy...like soup (some I made and froze) and grilled cheese sanwiches???
Dh is grilling beef ribs tonight. I have no idea what he is cooking with it. Baked potatoes I hope! Tomorrow is our pastor's last day at church and Samantha gets confirmed!!!! We have a lunch at church after the last service as a send off celebration for pastor and then we are having a small party here at home for Samantha at 4pm. We will have tuna and turkey/cheese sandwhiches, tortilla rollups, chips and queso, crakers and spinach dip, carrots and ranch dressing, grapes, pickles, olives, brownies and cookies. We should have about 25 people here. I think we will have enough food. I hope we will.
It's a simple one for us this evening. Hot dogs, baked beans, corn on the cob, and macaroni salad. I was busy running errands today, and didn't plan anything else. The kids love hot dogs though.
We had pizza last night, too, Mendy. I'm not sure what we're having tonight. Ribs sound yummy, though.. Maybe we'll crash Tiffany's dinner tonight. Charles' brother and sister-in-law and their family are going to be here on Monday, which will be fun. They are missionaries in Russia, so we only see them every few years when they are home. We are having a reception/open house kind of thing for them on Friday, which will be stressful - for me at least. I'm not a throw-big-parties-for-the-fun-of-it kind of girl. I like just a few people over at a time, with lots of time to sit and talk.. My sister is much better at planning big deals with lots of games, and etc. Anyway, we sent out about 60 invitations to people at church and friends of Carl and Debbie's. So far we've only gotten a handful of RSVPs... I'm still debating about what to serve. Any suggestions? It's from 6-8 on a Friday, so we're doing dinner. I was thinking about making lasagna or marzetti at first, but people are going to be wandering around eating, and I'm not sure I want tomato sauce all over the living room. So maybe something with a different sauce.. or sandwich stuff.. or pasta salads.. or... help me!!!
Donald was thinking T-bones, but I reminded him that they were not on sale this week. So Tacos was his next choice---- so that is what it is........
I made roast, gravy, mashed taters, corn, and croissants. We have leftover roast, so I may make roast beef sandwiches or roast beef salad sandwiches tomorrow or Tuesday.
Freddy got home from work at 7pm and the kids had already eaten pizza so Katie babysat and we got to go out. We went to Bojangles and just had a few minutes together. It was so nice. Beth
We just had garlic bread (yum) and spagetti with cheese. No sauce for me though. The guys all had hamburger on theirs.
Ahhhhhh...poker night! I made Mac & cheese for the kids, my daughter made her own tuna salad. I had popcorn! LOL tomorrow night is Pulled pork with cornbread and salad!
We just had soup and for some reason the tomato soup I had just didn't do it for me. I used to love tomato soup with popcorn in it!
Tonight we are having banana pancakes, sausage and eggs. It is breakfast night in our house! Seems we do that alot on church night.
I think we're going to have "Whatever Night". We have lots of left-overs that need to be eaten, so everybody does their own thing. I may just have popcorn though. I like it with canned peaches and garlic salt and nutritional yeast! (Yes, I have strange tastes!)
