So you use crushed dill weed. Do you mix it with flour?

Yes on the dill. You can crush it if you can't find it crushed and no on the flour. It is spices only. I rinse off the chicken before putting the spices on. They stick without a problem. You just gave me an idea. I like fried chicken. I should put the dill and other spices in the flour mixture I use for the chicken. I bet that would taste awesome.

We are having a clean out the refrigerator night. I need to clean the freezer but every time I try to clean it, the rag sticks to the surface. So I decided to empty the refrigerator and put any extra perishables in the garage refrigerator. It is small, otherwise I would put every thing in there now. Once it is empty, I am going to unplug it and scrub it down.

Patty, if its cold there, you can put your stuff from the freezer in a laundry basket and it should stay ok until you get it cleaned out. IF you are VERY careful use a hair dryer to heat the stubborn spots (CAREFUL!!!) and I use a spatula to scoop out any frozen ice I can scrape off, I put a towel donw on the floor to catch the ice.

You all have inspired me to clean out my fridge. I have been putting off a few days.

I clean out the fridge of left overs or things that are old every friday or saturday when my DH is out at the grocery store, but it sure could use a good wipe down. The freezer outside (stand up) needs defrosting really bad.

We are having roast cooked with onion soup mix and pepsi.
I guess we will do veggies with that.
The menus that you ladies are naming really sounds yummy.

I wish that we could see some snow this year like some of the others but it turns to rain when it gets to us:cry: . Kids are still hoping for some. Snow makes great weather for chili and soups.

It's 3:28 and I don't know what to make for supper yet - My dh gets home at 4:30 and likes supper on the table. He is a very picky eater and while everything here sounds good, he would not eat any of it - in fact, he has never even tried pizza. I get tired of the same ole thing. Sometimes I feel like a short order cook. I will have 3 or 4 things going on the stove, oven and/or micro wave just so I don't have to hear any one complain. Don't be surprised if I show up on your doorsteps for supper. Of course I would be alone :) I would just send them all out to Burger King and they would be happy. Even my dgd - when I say what do you want to eat - she say hamaburger and fries:( They are all against me:)

G'ma, it's 4:00, and I don't know, either. I have the venison sitting out, but it will go in the crock pot for tomorrow night. Probably spaghetti! I'm hoping I will have time to bake bread for tomorrow!

G'ma - what does your husband like to eat since you said he is picky? I'm just asking because that sounds a lot like my dad and his brother. They won't ever try anything new at all. They like any type of fried meat and potatoes and that is pretty much it.

Tonight wasn't a complete failure as far as supper - we had hot dogs, baked beans (right out of can - only way he will eat them) chicken flavored noodles (dh didn't eat the noodles) and applesauce.

Tiffany - he eats lots of hamburgs and french fries, grilled cheese and noodle soup, of course hot dogs and baked beans, chicken patties and french fries (deep fried), chicken fingers (baked in oven) and french fries(deep fried) the only vegs he will eat are peas, corn and green beans. spaghetti (no salads of any kind), beef roast, pork roast, pork chops - chicken if its broasted (have to order that out), eggs and bacon, and for lunch he has an american cheese sandwich with potato chips - every day!!! He will eat no casseroles, no pizza, no mac and cheese, no other cheese but american. Most of the time if I can't think of what to fix - I just fix a hamburg and he's happy!!!

We don't have a lot of leftovers here as I take food to my parents and Grandmother. When/if we do, though, we like to eat them for lunch.

Had Pineapple Ham, Cabbage, Green Beans and Cornbread Muffins tonight. Everyone cleared their plate, so I'd say it was a hit! ;)
